MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Green Ferns Publishing House announces the release of Venom and Vows, a regency-inspired fantasy romance by author and publishing partner Maegwen Salley-Massie. The novel will be available on May 26, 2026, in ebook and paperback formats, with a special edition hardcover and audiobook planned.

Set in a frostbitten society ruled by vampires, Venom and Vows follows Seraphina Halloway, a young woman determined to save her family’s failing farm, even if it means entering a dangerous competition hosted by the very creatures she despises. In a world where vampires do not love humans but bind them through contracts, Seraphina risks exposure, her life, and the loss of the illegal magical creature she secretly protects.
Her carefully crafted plan begins to unravel when she captures the attention of Nash Everthorne, Heedmoor’s most revered and dangerously irresistible vampire.

Maegwen Salley-Massie is an award-winning author based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and one of the founding partners of Green Ferns Publishing House. Venom and Vows marks her fifth published novel. She is also known for The Emerald Queen series, with its fifth installment scheduled for release in September 2026. Her short story “Creek Rat Jax,” featured in the Riptide anthology, is currently in development for a screenplay adaptation, with filming expected to begin in 2026.
